Crafting

The art of crafting has emerged as a new opportunity for adventurers to expand their skills beyond combat. The crafting skill consists of two activities: breaking and creating equipments. To start crafting, you need an iron hammer, which can be acquired through the iron hammer quest in Minotaur Mountain (Kazoordon).
Note: Only 1 iron hammer can be acquired per character, so if you lose it, you will need to buy it from other players or do the quest with another character.

Breaking Items

Materials are necessary for creation of certain items, but they are only obtained by breaking equipments. You can break different types of equipment in order to acquire steels, hell steels and draconian steels. Common steels can be obtained from low-class items, while hell and draconian steels are only obtained from stronger items. To start breaking equipment, you need to buy an anvil from the NPC A Sweaty Cyclops for 5000 gold and use it in your house or you can use any anvil available on the world map. Simply put the equipment above the anvil and use iron hammer on it.

As with other profession skills, the base chance to break some equipment is 10% + (0.597% * (crafting skill - 10)) and some stronger equipment requires more advanced crafting skills to be broken. If you do not have the minimum skill, it will only give a spark effect. Note: items bought from NPC's are made with a special protection on its metals, so you are not able to break them.

Crafting Items

If you have specialized in Blacksmith profession, you'll be able to craft items. The same formula is applied here, so higher crafting skill, the faster you will build the item. Most items also have a chance to be sucessfully crafted, that is impacted by your crafting skill as well. To start crafting, just setup the required items on the anvil then hit with the iron hammer.

The rate for sucessfully craft is 10% * item crafting skill multipler.
