| Description: | This rune was invented in the early days of magical research. Since the poison field was somewhat weak and the firefield no hinderance to fireloving creatures, there was need for a field that was stronger. The result was the energy field, resembling the beamweapon that could be observed with the demons, but being entirely different in nature. These days, this rune has lost quite some of its attractiveness, since it's only useful to block narrow passages. Way more often it is used as the "weapon of the small man," even though it was not made for that purpose. Initially the sorcerers invented this spell, but later on they shared their knowledge with the druids in exchange. Thus sorcerers and druids may learn this spell for a fee of 700 gold coins. You need to have a magic level of at least 5 to cast this spell, and it takes 80 mana. The originating rune can be used 3 times by persons of magic level 3 or higher. |
