| Description: | The firewall spell was invented as strong and longlasting protection against all fire-fearing creatures. Though it doesn't give any protection against pyrophilic creatures, who usually are the wicked and strong ones, this rune has its advantages because it lasts by far longer than any other wall-spell and announces it's weakening power by a slow burndown. Thus it warns the caster when it starts to fail whereas all other walls vanish quite suddenly. These days, it is most and best used in somewhat open surroundings where there are few pyrophilic creatures. In dire need it also can be used to create a circular fence, keeping off any hostile creature. Being a protective spell, its use is open to sorcerers and druids, who have to pay 2000 gold coins to learn this useful spell. You need to have a magic level of at least 13 to cast this spell, and it takes 200 mana. The originating rune can be used 4 times by persons of magic level 6 or higher. |
