| Description: | The firewave spell is the first spontaneous attack spell a sorcerer can learn. In the very past, a handful of rising magicians were able to observe a dragon and survive. Quite admirable, since in these days not even larger groups of the most powerful adventurers were able to defeat an enemy so strong. Those magicians were most fascinated by the powerful dragonbreath and sought ways to resemble this ability. At last they succeded, even though their spell was way less impressive and damaging. However, the spell drained the sorcerers of that time quite considerably so that it was not the great weapon at their disposal they had hoped for. Yet the spell has its uses, even today, against large groups of attacking foes when they come head on. The spellcaster should try to make sure though that there is not much space to his sides, as his enemies still might surround him. If the spellcaster has the ability to make himself invisible, this spell might come in handy, too, since it doesn't drain the spellcaster as much as all other spontaneous spells. However, fireloving creatures don't have to fear this spell, of course. Due to its nature, and since the magical conclave is extremely reluctant to give away the secret of spontaneous spells, this spell is available only to sorcerers for 850 gold coins. You need to have a magic level of at least 7 to cast this spell, and it takes 80 mana. |
